-
Less than $500
- If the purchase you are returning cost less than $500, you can use any
carrier for shipping (USPS (United States Postal Service), UPS, or FedEx). We highly recommended that you
ship your package to us insured, and with a Return Receipt so you can receive confirmation of its receipt
by NetCarats.
-
More than $500
- Ship your package via USPS Registered Mail. Be sure to insure your package for its
full value, and ask for a Return Receipt so you can receive confirmation of its receipt by NetCarats. Please
note that UPS and FedEx will not insure a package for more than $500.
Additional Suggestions for Returns
Insurance - When sending valuable merchandise through the mail you want to protect it against
loss, damage or theft. The USPS allows you to add insurance to insure your mailed merchandise up to $5,000.
To purchase insurance from the USPS, you must complete an Insurance Form, which can be found at the post office.
Registered Mail - This is the most secure service that the USPS offers. When returning your
purchase, we recommend that you do so via registered mail, which provides insurance coverage up to $25,000.
Packages sent via registered mail are placed under tight security from the point of mailing to the point of
delivery. To protect against loss or damage, postal insurance is provided for articles with a maximum declared
value of $25,000.
To ship via USPS registered mail you will need to bring your Return package to your local post office
branch. A postmaster may require that an item of unusually high value be shipped only from the main post
office or at designated stations or branches.
Return Receipt - We recommend that you use the Return Receipt Service along with the
registered mail service. With the Return Receipt Service you will receive confirmation once the package
has been received by NetCarats. This confirmation will come in the form of a postcard signed by the person
who received the package. The Return Receipt Service must be purchased at the time you mail your Return
package.
For additional information on any of these services, please contact the USPS directly at 1-800-ASK-USPS, or visit
their website at www.usps.com
